Biography
Born in 1961, Doctor in Theoretical Physics, Dr. Jean-Michel Alimi is responsible for the creation and direction from 2002 to 2010 of the "Laboratoire Univers et Théories", CNRS-UMR8102 research unit, Department of the Observatoire de Paris and laboratory associated with the Paris-Diderot University. The organization and the displayed objectives of this laboratory were from its inception original in its discipline by privileging theory and modeling of astrophysical systems. The "Universal Laboratory and Theories" now occupies a recognized place in the international scientific community. He is now Director of Research at the CNRS. Jean Michel Alimi is very active in the information and dissemination of scientific culture, through his publications, the organization of conferences, exhibitions.
